Last year, at the beginning of July, we witnessed the withdrawal from the market the drug with the active substance valsartan manufactured by Zhejiang Huahai Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd.
The only pharmaceutical company in BiH that did not have disputable active substance was ZADA Pharmaceuticals, which confirmed our quality and correctness of the preparation ATENZIO (valsartan) and ATENZIO PLUS (valsartan + hydrochlorothiazide), and their safe use.
In these moments, we again have the opportunity to confirm ZADA’s quality and safety because our preparation RANID (ranitidine), amongst others that have a detected contamination called N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA), which is classified as probable human carcinogen, that is, a substance that could cause cancer, SAFE for use i.e. without the specified disputable contamination.
This information has been confirmed to us with documents by a manufacturer of the active substance ranitidine approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European Medicines Quality Directorate (EDQM). The manufacturer has a CEP.
The aforementioned manufacturer of the active substance from which we purchase ranitidine guarantees us the safety and security of ranitidine based on risk analysis and testing in certified / authorized laboratories for the analysis of disputable contamination, which confirmed that the process of manufacturing the active substance ranitidine is such that there is no possibility of the presence and occurrence of disputable NDMA and NDEA pollution.
Both of these developments are just further confirmation that ZADA Pharmaceuticals has extremely high quality medicines on the market of BiH, which are undoubtedly safe and effective for patients.
Our quality has been confirmed and validated by the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) as supreme bodies in BiH and Europe for the control and supervision of medicines.
